OfferRoster ("we," "us," "our") is a reverse-recruiting marketplace for the skilled trades, based in Richmond, Virginia. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at offerroster.com and to the OfferRoster platform at app.offerroster.com.
Information We Collect
Information technicians provide. When you create a technician profile, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and home ZIP code, along with the professional details you enter — your trade, years of experience, specialty, what you're looking for, your desired pay, and your certification and license information (including credential numbers we use for verification). You may also list employers you want blocked from seeing your profile.
Information companies provide. When you create a company account, we collect your company name, the contact person's name, title, email, and phone number, your business location, website, the trades and roles you hire for, details like team size and hiring volume, and your contractor license number. If you invite teammates to your account, we collect the email address you invite. To subscribe, you also provide billing information (processed by our payment provider — see Payments below).
Information we collect automatically. To operate and secure the Service, we collect account and sign-in information (you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email — we do not store passwords), and basic device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Our website also uses the analytics tools described under Cookies & Analytics.
How We Use Your Information
- Operate the marketplace — create and match anonymous technician profiles with companies;
- Verify credentials against the relevant certification and licensing boards;
- Deliver and manage offers, and notify you of activity (for example, when an offer arrives);
- Process company subscriptions and billing;
- Communicate with you about your account, security, and important updates;
- Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and comply with our legal obligations;
- Improve the Service based on aggregate usage.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Technician Anonymity
Protecting a technician's identity is a core feature of the platform. Specifically:
- Technician profiles shown to companies contain no name, no employer, no contact information, and no exact tenure — only an anonymous ID and professional attributes.
- Profiles are not publicly searchable — only approved, vetted companies can browse the pool.
- Technicians can block specific employers by name; a blocked company cannot see that profile, and this is enforced at the database level.
- A technician's real name and contact information are shared with a company only when the technician accepts that company's offer — never automatically, and never with any other company.
- Technicians can deactivate their profile at any time, and can request removal at any time — actioned promptly.
How We Share Information
- With companies — a technician's identity and contact details are shared with a company only after the technician accepts that company's offer, as described above.
- With service providers — we use trusted vendors to run the Service (hosting, database, payments, email, analytics), listed under Service Providers. They may process data only to provide services to us.
- For legal reasons — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of OfferRoster, our users, or the public.
Payments
Company subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and handled under their PCI-compliant systems; we do not store your full card number on our servers. We retain limited billing records (such as your subscription status and a payment-provider customer reference) to manage your account. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage & Security
Platform data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase) and protected with encryption in transit (TLS) and row-level access controls that enforce who can see what — including the anonymity rules above. The application is hosted on Vercel and our marketing site on Netlify. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Cookies & Analytics
We keep tracking to a minimum. Our marketing website uses:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-first, cookieless measurement of page views, referrers, and device type. It does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking (Cloudflare Privacy Policy).
- Meta Pixel — advertising measurement (pixel ID 1537431171506161). Meta may use this data per their Privacy Policy; you can opt out via Meta Ad Preferences.
The application uses only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and secure. We do not use Google Analytics.
Your Rights & Choices
You can:
- Access and correct your information — most of it is editable directly in your account;
- Deactivate your profile at any time from your account, or request deletion at any time — we action requests promptly;
- Unsubscribe from non-essential emails (we will still send account and transactional messages);
- Request a copy of your information or ask questions about how it's handled by emailing us.
When a technician deletes their account, we remove the profile and its data; records of offers a technician already accepted may be retained by the relevant company, without the technician's profile attached.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Children's Privacy
OfferRoster is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as OfferRoster evolves. If we make material changes, we will provide notice — for example, by email or by posting here. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
